I'm an African Fashion Social Entrepreneur.

I own a store in Liberia called Mango Rags, right under my manufacturing wonderland called The Bombchel Factory, and in October 2020 (smack in the middle of the pandemic!) I opened my newest baby, Bombchel, at Ponce City Market in Atlanta. No matter where you have shopped with us, you have joined the coolest squad on the planet. ALL ARE WELCOME to be BOMBCHELS!!

Born to Liberian refugees in the 80’s, I remember being embarrassed when my Mom would pick me up from my all-white public school in the biggest headwraps and brightest African gowns. And then I turned around and made African fashion my life!

From running up credit card debt because I couldn’t afford the fashion I wanted in Atlanta, GA, to selling dresses out of the back of my pickup truck in Monrovia, Liberia, I know what it is to want more from life and to be scrappy to get it! From building a factory with an all-women team who had never sewn or earned an income before to appearing at New York Fashion Week and Beyonce's Baby Shower (yes, girl! I died when that happened!), I've used fashion to open possibilities for my favorite Liberian women and myself. With no formal fashion or business training, I'm proof that more people than you know are waiting to buy exactly what's on your heart to create. Like, people want to pay you money for it. I know, crazy! But your girl has never lied. Just dream bigger.

I’m living in Atlanta now, but I frequently travel to West Africa to support my teams in Monrovia and Accra. If you ever see me on your flight or with my face in some attieke and grilled fish, be sure to tell ya, girl, hello!

xo, Archel!
